This is a historical moment that has never happened in the history of the Constituency for a member to execute such a heavy task at the same time. Indeed Wukari 1 Constituency is blessed with the man of the people and the voice of Hope. We say kudos to your elbow and pray for greater results yet to come.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a unique step from the most trusted personality, Hon Jethro Yakubu, Member House of Assembly Wukari 1 Constituency.
The Majority Leader is set on the right track to endorse and distribute ceremonial packages for both Christians and Muslims alike. The season of love and charity is here and to lead his people forward into the month of charity and love, the Honourable Member, is set to disburse the following in Wukari 1 Constituency;
1) i. Distribution of Wrappers and other valuables to over 100 households within the Constituency.
1) ii. Disbursement of over 100 bags of rice to each ward within his Constituency.
2) Healthcare Delivery, block laying and construction at Begiya Primary Health Care Center to be flagged-off by the Honourable Member.
3) Helping Hands Initiative such as widows, orphans and the less privileged campaigns to assist them with food items and packages such as Rice, Maggi, wrapper, vegetable oil, salt etc. to celebrate this coming festive season.
4)i. Educational and Business Empowerment, over 20 households from each ward will be selected to participate in the empowerment programme and become beneficiaries of their respective categories.
4) ii. Scholarship and Trade Courses. More youths within the Constituency will enjoy rapid growth in terms of selecting their heart desires and personal trade. Each participant will be entitled to sponsorship and scholarship, which are listed as follows;
- Final Year Students – 50 beneficiaries
- 400 Level Students – 50 beneficiaries
- 300 Level Students – 50 beneficiaries
- 200 Level Students – 50 beneficiaries
- 100 Level Students – 50 beneficiaries
The above list will sum up a total of 250 beneficiaries from the Constituency in Higher Institutions.
5) The Honourable Member, is set to build up talented footballers as well. He is set to organize a competitive football match in Wukari 1 Constituency, best player of the tournament will be promoted and hooked up with foreign football clubs.
6) Sporting Committee to pilot the affairs of the competition. Honourable Member, has also pledged to inaugurate dignified and men of integrity to pilot the affairs of the next rated championship title in the constituency during the course of the programme. Sport is one aspect of life that unites one’s nation, as such it should start from our various constituency. Thank you
