Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the God’s Project Scholarship Scheme are designed to identify and support deserving students who demonstrate a strong commitment to their education. To qualify for the scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

1. Member of Wukari I Constituency: Applicant must be a member of Wukari I Constituency in Wukari, Taraba State, Nigeria.
2. Ward Membership: Applicant must be a registered voter in one of the following wards within Wukari I Constituency: Akwana Ward, Chonku Ward, Hospital Ward, Kente Ward, and Rafin-Kada Ward. Proof of membership of one of these specified wards is highly required. Applicants must produce a valid voter’s card as part of their application. This card serves as proof of their citizenship and Membership of Wukari I Constituency, Taraba State, Nigeria. It also helps verify their eligibility to participate in civic activities within the constituency.
3. Institution: Be in Federal or State Owned University based in Nigeria
4. Level: Currently be in their second year of full-time study in Nigeria Federal or State University accredited by the National University Commission (NUC).
5. Enrollment Status: Eligible applicants must be enrolled, as at the time of this application, in an accredited educational institution, such as a College, Polytechnic, or University.
6. Academic Excellence: Applicants must demonstrate a strong academic record, typically with a minimum 3.00 CGPA or equivalent grade point requirement, as specified by the scholarship scheme.
7. Financial Need: Candidates must showcase a genuine financial need for the scholarship, illustrating that they require financial assistance to pursue their education.
8. Age Limit: Applicants must be 18 years and above.
9. Field of Study: Priority will be given to science-based courses meanwhile, all courses are eligible.
10. Letters of Recommendation: Applicants are required to submit letters of recommendation from their community Traditional Rulers (Kings) who can vouch for their character.
11. Minimum Attendance or Enrollment: Scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum attendance to remain eligible for funding, ensuring that they remain committed to their education. As such, applicants are required to submit letters of recommendation from their Heads of Departments who can vouch for their academic potential and/or commitment to their field of study.
12.  Essay or Interview: Applicants may be required to write essays or participate in interviews to assess their communication skills, goals, and motivations for pursuing higher education within the context of their constituency.
